Mark Pitchers currently works as a professional angling coach, alongside his role as a bait consultant for CC Moore (who sell Mark's signature 'Carp Freaks' range of hookbaits) and a brand ambassador, for the world's largest carp fishing tackle manufacturer; Fox International. Through his roles with CC Moore and Fox, he has had countless articles published in fishing magazines across Europe and is also the star of many films on You Tube, including one of the most popular carp-series of all-time; The Challenge. Mark has also starred in two DVDs alongside his angling side-kick; Harry Charrington. Furthermore, he also runs his own open-access fishery in the north-east of England - Wainstones Pool.

 

All of these activities combined with 35 years of angling experience, make Mark the ideal author for a technical fishing book aimed at helping the reader, to not only catch more carp but fish far more effectively too.

With a UK personal best carp of 56lb 8oz and an overseas PB of 55lb 13oz, Mark is no stranger to catching monsters, however, he does not consider himself to be a big-fish bounty hunter, as he is also very accomplished at catching large numbers of carp with a speciality of turning one bite into 10!
